There is an endless spectrum of ballet and dance related blogs out there, one can easily lose the day to them. Here are a few that provide me with insight, inspiration, humor and beauty. Enjoy!!

Mary Carpenter is a professional pointe shoe fitter, teacher and colleague based in NYC. She has a wealth of information and recently started a Youtube channel where she generously shares her vast knowledge and expertise on pointe shoes.

The Wonderful World of Dance covers dance around the world with interviews, podcasts, with top dancers, choreographers, teachers, and artistic directors. It’s a fabulous way to connect to what is happening in the greater dance world.

Haglund’s Heel is a witty, sharp, honest and classy blog critiquing dance performances around NYC. In a novel and fun twist Haglund awards a pivotal dancer from each performance with a “high heeled” shoe award at the end of each post.

Harkness Center for Dance Injuries is at the forefront of injury care and prevention for dancers. I have been a patient ofDr. Rose and Dr. Weiss, both directors of Harkness's dance medicine team and doctors the dance community is lucky to have. Harkness Center offers many resources including dancer injury assessments and presentations, at your studio, to speak to and instruct dancers on methods of injury prevention.

I love this custom leotard company. Lisa Choules is a former dancer with Ballet West and Kansas City ballet. Her leotards are beautifully constructed, fit like a glove and the assortment of fabrics and styles you can create your design from spark the imagination. I always get compliments on my Eleve leotards!

A tried and true trusted classic.

Kevin Richardson captures the individual beauty and life within the dancers he shoots. His about page states the heart and purpose of his project far better then I can do justice here. I adore that one of my former students works with him.

My lovely colleague and friend Robin is a wonderful teacher, fan of the amazing Herman Cornejo and budding photographer. She has taken some enchanting photos of NBDT’s students as well as the world around her. They can be found on her Facebook and Etsy sites.
