Jacqueline A. Lorenzi

     Ms. Lorenzi trained at New Jersey Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. While a member of NJB she had the pleasure of working with Paul Sutherland, Sophie Monat, Elaine Kudo, Eli Lazar, Johan Renvall, Eleanor D’Antuono, Paul McRae, Natasha Girshov, Joseph Carow and Robert North. She has also studied with Finis Jhung, Mari DiLena, Jack Hertzog, Nina Novak, Diana Cartier and David Howard.

     Her repertory at New Jersey Ballet included Les Sylphides, La Bayadere, Giselle, Coppelia, Raymonda and Jardin aux Lilas as well as works by Balanchine, Robert North, Eli Lazar and Johan Renvall. Jacquie also performed and toured with Rebecca Kelly Ballet and guested with Eglevsky Ballet.

     Ms. Lorenzi is an experienced teacher, ballet mistress, and arts administrator. Currently she is a teacher and coach at the Dance Connection where she is the Artistic Director of New Jersey Youth Ballet’s Nutcracker. Prior to her position at the Dance Connection Jacquie taught and served as a ballet mistress at Nunnbetter Dance Theater. While there she staged and helped costume the Kingdom of the Shades and Pas de Quatre as well as divertissements from Le Corsaire, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and the Nutcracker for NBDT’s student company. Her experience at NBDT helped her in creating, co-directing and costuming a full length Nutcracker for the Verne Fowler School.

     Ms. Lorenzi has worked for Burklyn Ballet Theater as an administrator, ballet mistress, and teacher. She’s also had the privilege of working with Mary Carpenter at Capezio in New York fitting, testing, and selling shoes. When she isn’t dancing or teaching Jacquie makes costumes, sings, walks dogs, travels, and enjoys creative play and expansion.
